This project was scoped out to Giffen group to enable, design, supply, delivery, installation and testing & commissioning of Modular Buildings at Hammersmith SCC compound.
The Modular buildings were designed with two integral but separately accessed and segregated rooms to provide isolation between the Signalling Equipment and the Low Voltage Alternating Current (LVAC) power equipment.
The REB is a Modular building size 6m (w) x 18m (l) x 3m (h) internal dimensions, SER area 15.32m (w) x 6m (d) and ESR area 2.5m (w) x 6m (d) . The REB has been built and fitted out to support a 40 year design life. To enable access to the REB Giffen install the access walkways appropriate to each door location, for the entrance of the maintainer but also for Thales equipment.
Giffen Group also installed the domestic Services Distribution boards within SER and ESR areas. Domestic lighting supplies including Emergency Lighting and CRMS all to London underground specification. Earthing System Includes a Main Earth Terminal bars within SER & ESR and Lightning protection. Detection and local Alarm System within SER & ESR rooms were installed and include Fire passive fire dampers. The Fire System also provides a Volt Free output(s) for integration to the Signalling Equipment (for eventual transmission to the Hammersmith SCC).
CRMS were installed between the SER and the primary trackside CRMS. This included provision to pass under the existing security fencing. The CRMS allowed for signalling, comms & LVAC cables. The CRMS provides diverse cable entry points on the SER/ESR through Roxtec brackets Giffen liaised with Specialist contractors to installed bespoke and LUL specific equipment.
