Construction sector ‘Major Award of Commendation’ for Giffen Group

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), one of the world's leading health and safety organisations, has awarded Giffen Group, one of its prestigious Major Awards of Commendation for Excellence, for Occupational Health and Safety management in the Construction Industry.

Giffen Group, has been selected for recognition by RoSPA as one of the top three organisations in the UK construction sector. The highly competitive Major Awards are allocated across 21 individual industry sectors such as Construction, Healthcare, Transport and Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing and Education.

The Construction Industry award ceremony took place at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole, at the National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 13th May 2009 and was hosted by Lord Jordan of Bournville, RoSPA President, and Lord Brougham and Vaux, RoSPA Vice President.

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2009 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
